Nocturnal (Nighttime) Seizures
People who have seizures during the day can also have seizures during the night. In some people, seizures occur only at night and maybe difficult to diagnose. If unusual nighttime movements occur and are associated with unusual events like loss of bladder or bowel control or confusion, a nocturnal seizure is possible. In this case, the person should be evaluated, initially by their primary care physician, with a possible referral to a specialist.
